Benefit Cost Analysis – Recreation Values White Paper

The International Water Institute has been working with the Red River Watershed Management Board to conduct benefit cost analysis as part of the Natural Resources Conservation Service Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).

There are 19 watersheds in the Red River Basin conducting small watershed planning processes (Public Law 566) as part of the RCPP.  The alternatives developed thru these planning effort must undergo a full benefit cost analysis to determine if they are eligible for federal costs share.

The Dollar Values of Recreation, Fish and Wildlife, and Habitat for Evaluating Watershed Management Alternatives in Northwest Minnesota is the first in a series of white papers that will be used to evaluate alternatives.
