Project Goals

• To understand the flood problems in the greater Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area and develop a regional system to reduce flood risk.
  

• To determine the Federal government's role in implementing flood risk reduction measures in Fargo-Moorhead.
  

• To document the study findings in a Feasibility Report and appropriate National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) document (either an Environmental Assessment or an Environmental Impact Statement).
  

• If appropriate, recommend implementation of a federal project to U.S. Congress.
